Have you been able to create a positive customer experience and take advantage of the easy profits that "Return and/or Sendee addressing" have to offer? With Address Manager... you can!
A customer can simply send you their address list in a Notepad or Excel file. You can then import it into Address Manager (AM) and print both the Return and the Sendee addresse on the envelopes. You can make them fancy (and charge more) or keep them simple, but elegant. And you can also use the same list within AM for inner envelopes, place cards, and calling cards!
Start with the list - PE Pro already contains instructions sheets that you can print out and give to your customer to help prepare the list. These instructions give the customer step-by-step details on how to prepare and submit the list to you. This helps to ensure that any processing on your end is fast and easy. To locate these helpful sheets, click on the CS Library icon , then click the Go button. When this window opens, double
|
click on the In Store Signs and Forms folder where you will find Customer Instructions (for both an Excel list and a Notepad list). Tip - When you get a list from a customer, it is advisable to open the list in Excel or Word to make sure everything is correct or change as appropriate. (This will save you the headache of revising later).
Working with the list - Import this list into AM, the AM icon is located on the desktop or within PE on the left hand toolbar . Click on the Enter tab to import the customer's list. Select either the IMPORT TEXT FILE or IMPORT EXCEL FILE tab on the upper right hand side. Browse for the address list file by clicking the Browse button. Open the file (the list will appear on the left part of your screen) and then click the process button. Once your list has processed, you can save the file by clicking in the ADDRESSES folder which is where we recommend that collect all of your address files.
Setting up your envelope - When you set up an envelope in PE Pro, it will ask you for things like the size and type of your envelope. Enter these and click Next.
|
Then it will ask you to Browse for the Address File again. Click on the Browse button and select the desired Address file. Click next and choose the font style you wish to use on this envelope. Voila! All of the addresses will be shown on the face of the envelope and the Return Addressing will stay the same.
Suggested retail pricing for "Return and/or Sendee" addressing varies across our customer base. Some price it at their regular printing charges, some charge per envelope plus a flat set up, say $25.00 for the sendee addressing. Others charge as much as $2.50 or more for each envelope for their fancy addressing touches! Not bad when it's a 250 piece wedding order!
Our Address Manager program is very extensive and there is much to master when it comes to generating huge profits with addressing. We'd love to show you. For assistance with Address Manager, envelopes, training or money making ideas, please contact Cristina Poulsen at cristina@cbdcards.com.

During the holiday season of 2005, Dottie Movshin from Life's a Party in Hudson, Ohio took custom to a new level during the holiday season. Expanding on a marketing tip listed in our User tips section of our www.pecards.com website, she produced greeting cards for a private school in her area using custom artwork from the students.
The school's art teacher had the students recreate their own renditions of famous holiday themed artwork. Dottie was responsible for working with the family members of the students to create these beautiful custom greeting cards to mail to their family and friends.
The parents were contacted by the school, letting them know this service was available to them and that Life's a Party would be donating 20% of the proceeds to the school as a fundraiser. Then the parents, grandparents, etc. filled out order forms with different options such as: 6 different pre-worded inside messages, 3 font color choices (red, green and black) and also, the option of adding the family's names below a personal message.
The artwork was given to her by the school and individually scanned in her store. She then saved the images to her computer and then easily inserted them into a PE Large Card template.
Each card also had personalization on the back flap. This was easy to do since the back can be printed at the same time as it feeds through the printer. She added the child's name and grade, the school name, the message "Donations are graciously accepted" and her website address so that her customers and their friends and family could come back to her for even more business.
Including the card stock and ink used on her Canon 960 printer, it only cost her 80¢ per card to produce which she priced at $2.00 each. Price breaks were given at counts of 10, 20 and 50 cards. With a landslide success of 4,000 cards from a school of 250 children and proceeds going to the school, she was able to raise over $1,900 for them.
Needless to say, everyone (including the school administrators) were beyond thankful. And...with their assistance, she already has 6 more schools interested in participating during the holidays of 2006. Not to mention, the repeat business she's receiving by including her website address on the back of her customer's orders.
Her total profit from the one school's holiday project turned out to be over $6,000! Enough to help Dottie have a very Merry Christmas, indeed!
