Of all the personalized paper goods that you are able to create with PE Pro, notecards are the most in demand and therefore sell-able. They always make great gifts for all (yourself, friends, family and co-workers). Not only are they easy to market to a wide consumer base, but with PE Pro, they are also very easy to create.
By using the standard features in PE Pro, you can create professional, stylish and creative stationery in as little as...no time at all!
What can you use to make them? Do you have a favorite font that you like to use? Put it on the front of a notecard in a very large point size to show it off. Are there a few trendy colors of the season that you would like to incorporate onto paper? Pair an initial in a stylish font with an eye-catching shape in any color you wish. Be creative! Do you have tons of "ding" fonts with great icons? Put them to good use by featuring them as artwork on stationery!

Marketing Notecards
How can you start profiting from this popular item right away? When your customers get invitations printed from you, ask them if they would like to add notecards to their order, always suggesting why they need them (to thank their guests for gifts, for attending their event, etc.)
Classics all year. Personalized stationery items are always in season. You can quickly whip up a few designs and display them in acetate boxes on any extra shelf space you have. Or, you can create and collect all of your custom designs and display them in a portfolio, wall display, etc. Create signage using PE Pro to let your customers know that custom notecards are available from you and when they inquire, you can show them your ideas and pricing.
There are many paper shapes and sizes available from us that you can use to make stationery. Our top fold notecards and letter sheets are classic stationery pieces. Trendy, hipper styles include our flat cards and side folds.

We have small cards, medium cards, large cards and more. The marquis card makes great stationery! Just an initial in a fun font at the top of a marquis card can make a bold statement and it still leaves plenty of room to write on. And don’t forget about notepad paper! It comes in personal and shopping list sizes and can be sold in separate sheets or sealed together with a padding press.
Personalized notecards or stationery can be sold for $1.00 to $2.00 or more per sheet. We start at $1.50 per card and envelope for your basic top fold personalized notecard. Create quick ideas of your own or use the sample ideas we’ve provided below and then display them in your store. With very little up-front time, promoting personalized stationery is worth it’s weight in gold, literally!

VISTA operating system
Considering buying a new computer? Buy an XP machine... they are still available. If you want VISTA, we recommend that you hold off until summer or so...
Personalized Expressions does not, at this time, support the Vista operating system.
The problem relates to the late finalization of Vista and the consequential lack of driver and tool support for this OS. This means that many printer drivers and graphics drivers do not perform as expected when running under Vista. The problem was acute at the time Vista was released, and, while the situation is rapidly improving, there are still a number of unresolved issues outstanding. The problem with incompatibilities is especially serious with PE because, unlike many other programs that use more primitive techniques, it uses advanced graphical techniques which present special compatibility needs.
Rather than release PE and have OS related issues we have decided not to release PE for Vista until such time as we are certain it will run without serious incident. Since we do not control when Microsoft will release its Service Pack of bug fixes for Vista nor do we control the rate at which the drivers will be developed for the new OS, we cannot guarantee a time when PE will be certified for Vista. Our best guess is the June - September time frame, with a limited number of early testers at first and then the general release after a significant test period.
Having said this, please be aware that Vista presents printer manufacturers with a new driver model for their printers, and it is usual that when the driver model changes the colors produced by printers using that model also change. This means that there is a chance that even under the best of circumstances Vista will change the colors your printer produced when running under XP.
Finally, if you decide to purchase a Vista computer please keep in mind that the hardware requirements for Vista are significantly higher than they were for XP. For example, under XP a computer with 1 Gig of RAM and a graphics card with even 64 Meg RAM was generally sufficient while under Vista it is likely that, to achieve the same performance level, a computer would need to double the RAM to 2 Gig and to quadruple the graphics memory to 264 Meg. This means that you will need to pay more attention to the hardware specifications of the computer and that "upgrading" your existing computer from XP to Vista should be avoided if at all possible.
We'll keep you informed as we learn more about the driver fixes from the printer companies, but for the time being, please stay with XP as your operating system choice
