You can use character fonts or "Ding Fonts" to create your own custom cards.
"Ding Fonts" is a phrase used for fonts that are artwork instead of lettering. You can use any character from a True Type "Ding Font" and turn it into a beautiful invitation, card, notecard, etc. Beware though, most "Ding Fonts" that you download from the internet are of very low quality and cannot be blown up to a very large point size. They start to feather and deteriorate at the edges if they are not a high quality.
In the product shown below, we used icons from our CBD Celebration Dings One font set. Start with creating a new, blank card of any size. Follow the prompts to enter your size and margins. You can also choose the "Ding font" you wish to use right away. Use Character Map to insert the icon of your choice. The character map is shown below:

You can left click to navigate through the character number tabs and right click on the icon to enlarge it so you can see it. Left click again on the icon to insert it. Close the character map (using the "x" in the upper right corner) and you can now increase the size of your "Ding".
To be able to easily move the "Ding", we recommend moving the icon into an alphabend. To do this, highlight the icon in your text box and click on this icon. An alternative to moving it into an Alphabend is to keep the "Ding" in the text box. The main reason to move it into an alphabend is that you can position it and move it more easily. Rather than accidentally clicking into a text box when trying to pick it up, with the alphabend you have a floating "Ding" that you can pick up and move freely (similar to an image). To create a multiple letter word, you will need to stitch together a word by repeating this process and creating more than one Alphabend (one for each character).
In the sample below (Creative Idea of the Month) we have used the character map several times to insert different garden bugs and created a simple Spring themed notecard.

"Swing into Spring" with invitations and stationery that screams "Gorgeous!" As the weather changes from cold to sunny, people are celebrating! Everyone tends to perk up a little when Spring starts to poke it's cheerful head through the clouds.
Using the standard features of PE Pro (like the Hidden Program Secret shown above) you can easily design Spring themed product for the upcoming season. These icons are in the font CBD Celebration Dings One (available for purchase through us). The bees, ladybugs, butterflies and dragonflies dance along the edge and the light, bright pastel colors give the fresh feeling of springtime. Using ideas similar to this, you can create the perfect design for anyone who loves this season!
Personalize it with a whimsical or script font. We chose the font Amelie that we purchased through the internet. Adding to the light pastel feel, we made the text a soft grey color. Print it on a flat, ecru 5 x 7 card for a different twist on your average personal stationery. This particular design would be great for a girl's notecard. With plenty of space to write everything she wants to say to her closest family and friends!

As you may already know, PE Pro comes with a Standard set of 29 fonts that are included with your initial installation of the software. In addition, all of our CS libraries include a total of 79 fonts, which are also available separately.
Our font sets contain between 5 and 9 fonts, depending on which package you are purchasing. Each set consists of many different types, ranging from wedding to children's party styles.
The names of these font packages are:
These are all True Type fonts and are compatible with every Windows based program you may have on your computer. They can be viewed at our fonts section. We also have released one specialized lettering font called This font is an elegant but casual script and can be used for something as formal as a wedding invitation or an informal event like a Tupperware party. It's a great, all-around font that can be used for all occasions!
Also available are custom fonts that we call "Ding Fonts". These fonts are used just as you use letter fonts, except they are artwork instead of letters. These can be used as dividers between lines of text or made a very large point size and used as artwork on an invitation, notecard, etc. Wording or text can go right over them! Check out some samples in our tips section.
These "Ding Fonts" have different themes.

For example: has mostly baby things. (Baby pins, bottles, ducks, ladybugs, even fairies.) has castles, crowns, sports balls and farm animals and has holiday related artwork. (Ornaments, wreaths, Christmas trees, candy canes, witches, spiders, Easter eggs and even a Star of David.)
The CBD Celebration Dings collection has unlimited possibilities and can certainly help when you need to add that "little something extra" to make a product you produce special and unique. Our Ding font sets are sold as one complete package for all five font sets.
All these fonts can be viewed at our fonts section. For more information, please contact your local salesperson:

Suggested by a retailer.Have you ever tried to display a product on a shelf in your store that has all the design or artwork on the top of the card?
Setting up the product straight can sometimes block the design. So when your customers walk into your store they can't even see your displayed product! This can prevent your customer from immediately falling in love with that item.
Fear no more! Your customer will indeed notice that product...Just turn it upside-down!
Not only can the customer see the design or artwork on it just as clearly as the others, but you have now brought even more attention to it by altering its position. This greatly increases the chances of someone actually picking that particular design and taking an even closer look at it!
Personalized Expressions sells packaging for most of the blank card stock that you print your designs on.
Any item you print can be merchandised as store stock or packaged as a gift item. The boxes for the stationery sheets have a cardboard bottom and an acetate top that seal to close. The other sizes are made of clear acetate (tops and bottoms). They are then sealed with a thin, stretch plastic string that goes around the top left and bottom right corners to display your product perfectly on your shelves.
This means that any creative concoctions you come up with can easily be boxed and shown in your store so your customers will be more aware of the custom design features that you have available to offer them.
They are sold as 12 box packs and are available in the following sizes:
- Large card
(can be used for folded large cards and vellum & bow cards
- medium card
(can also be used for folded medium cards)
- small card
(for folded notes and small cards)
- marquis card
- pocket card,
and
- square size cards
